Kim supporting the Le Tour of Hope

Kim is on a volunteer trip with the Le Tour of Hope fundraiser for the Kids with Cancer Society.  Her husband is riding in the race along with Nick Lees and many other cyclists.  She had this to say.

Hi all!  Riders just finished a gruelling day of cycling from radium to Lake Louise. They started in the rain with a 14km steep climb in the rain.  Lunch break was still 80 kms down the road. One of my jobs is to get lunch set up for the 50 riders by 10 am when the fast guys are cycling through.  Today was day 3, hump day and a tough gruelling 140 kms it was. My time was spent serving soup and massaging sore shoulders and mostly quads, everyone smelt like peppermint oil as they took off!

Once at the hotel I search out space for Yamuna body rolling.  I do believe the magic balls are making a great debut with these cyclists!  They are hooked and realizing the great recovery benefits of the magic ball!!

Each night we have a wonderful dinner together followed by daily awards from funny man nick lees. Tonight we met our first family directly affected by cancer. Not one but their two children both with brain tumours only 3 years apart. Both kids spoke to our group with such grace and gratitude telling us of their experience with this disease and how much the kids with cancer society has supported their families through these tough times.  I feel very privileged to be able to represent Pilates EQ to support this great cause.
